Jason Thomason - Varsity Head Coach

Jason Thomason, who enters his 11th season in the profession, begins his second season as the head basketball coach at Caddo Mills High School.  In his first year (2015-16) the Foxes doubled the win total from the last two years combined winning 14 games and finished tied for fifth in district 13-3A.  Thomason came to Caddo Mills after serving as head coach at Wolfe City High School.  In his first season at the helm, (2013-14) the Wolves more than doubled their win total from the year before.  In 2014-15, the Wolves surprised many by finishing with a record of 22-7 (12-2) and advanced to the 2A Region II Regional Quarterfinals for the first time since 1995-96.  The Wolves finished the season ranked 24th in Class 2A according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches. Thomason's Wolves accrued a record of 35-17 (.673) in his two seasons as head coach.  He has also served as head coach in the state of Oklahoma where he helped rebuild two programs (Luther, Bethel).  In six seasons as a head coach Thomason has a career record of 90-86 (.511). Prior to becoming a head coach he served stints as an assistant coach in Moore, Edmond, and Oklahoma City.  In 2005-06, Thomason was an assistant coach on Oklahoma's Class 4A State Championship team McGuinness High School (OKC). He received his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma Christian University, his Master's degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, and was a graduate of Greenville High School.  He is married to wife Sarah (Olmstead) of Rockwall, Texas and they have three children: Carter (5), Brooks (3), Annie (1).

Josh Spoonemore - Varsity Asst/JV Head Coach 

Coach Spoonemore begins his seventh season at Caddo Mills High where he started his career.  Spoonemore is an assistant basketball, football, and track coach.  He is a proud graduate of Celeste High School where he played under former Caddo Mills head coach Jeff Smith.  Spoonemore was named Caddo Mills ISD District Teacher of the Year for the 2015-16 school year.  Spoonemore earned his undergraduate degree from Texas A&M-Commerce where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. Spoonemore has served at Caddo Mills in a multitude of roles over the years but will serve as Thomason's lead assistant and be his junior varsity coach.  He will be responsible for working the guards and will also have scouting and on-floor responsiblities.  In his spare time, Spoonemore enjoys playing sports and spending time with his family, friends, and his girlfriend Marissa.
